This week in the STEAM lab, students are learning

This week in the STEAM lab, students are learning about folk art and a National Historic Landmark only 11 miles away from our school—Simon Rodia’s Nuestro Pueblo, or Watts Towers. Using wire and found objects, students are creating individual sculptures and then arranging them together to form a classroom folk art display.

So many smiles and shrieks today at the reptile encounter assemblies! Half of our bulldogs had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a rosy boa, a king snake, a blue-tongued skink, an eastern box turtle, a sulcata tortoise, an American alligator, and a Burmese python. Assemblies continue next Weds for the rest of our bulldogs!
